The trade that should go down: Baron Davis for Gilbert Arenas
Let’s not pretend for one more second that Baron Davis is the going to turn things around. For two seasons we gave his disinterested and lackluster play a pass because we felt for the guy. After all, his BFF had ditched him for the 76ers, he had no real help around him and was playing for the god awful owner/coach duo of Dunleavy and Sterling. Baron would display brainless shot selection, and we would look the other way. He would give no effort on defense and we would all jump to his defense. Here he is, the man who might be the most explosive, exciting and unstoppable point guards in the league, casting away threes to no avail. How can you blame him? He is on the talentless, no luck, ho-hum Clippers, after all.
Then Baron’s world was thrown off course...
