There may never have been a quarterback blessed with more physical talent than Eagles quarterback Randall Cunningham. Cunningham possessed a deadly combination of passing and running. He was a threat to throw a 50-yard touchdown or scramble for a 50-yard touchdown on any given play.
He won the Bert Bell Player of the Year award three times, including twice with the Eagles, and was the only legitimate offensive weapon on his team for virtually his entire tenure with the team.
He was actually his team’s leading rusher for four straight seasons, an unbelievable stat. His best receiver was usually tight end, Keith Jackson, and the offensive line wasn’t able to protect Cunningham.
