Prospect Bio: Yann Sauve

Yann Sauve is a 21 year old defenseman from Montreal Quebec (home town Rigaud) who was drafted by Vancouver in the 2nd round (41th overall) in the 2008 NHL Draft. Sauve has a very intimidating frame at 6’ 3” and 220lbs. Sauve was originally was once a very valuable two way potential defenseman, but his offensive part to the game has not developed as expected. But Sauve defensive game has excelled through his positioning, skating and his physical play on, on coming forwards. He has the durability to log a lot of minutes as a defensive defenseman.
