Tampa Bay Buccaneers Resign Ronde Barber; Is Barber a Future Hall of Famer?

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced today that they have resigned cornerback Ronde Barber to a one-year deal, meaning the soon to be 36-year old will enter his 15th season with the team.

Barber has played long enough that it’s time to look past his career and ask ourselves: Is Ronde Barber a future Hall of Famer?

Over the last 13 seasons, Barber has started every single game. His streak of 183 consecutive regular season starts, plus nine more in the postseason, is the longest streak in NFL history by a defensive back.
