Andrew Bynum Suspended

Andrew Bynum Suspended Two Games for Flagrant Foul

After further review, Los Angeles Lakers center Andrew Bynum was suspended for his Flagrant 2 foul against Minnesota's Michael Beasley on Friday.

The Lakers were uncertain if Bynum or Kobe Bryant (sore neck, ankle) would be available for tonight's game against the Portland Trailblazers up until this morning when NBA Executive Vice President Basketball Operations Stu Jackson finally made the announcement about Bynum's suspension. Typically the NBA alerts teams of suspensions the day before the team's upcoming game.

Bynum, suspended for a forearm shiver he gave a helpless Beasley on the way to the hoop in the fourth quarter of Friday's win, has been suspended two games without pay, beginning with tonight's game against the Trailblazers and Tuesday's game against the Phoenix Suns.

Speaking of the Suns, Aaron Brooks has also been suspended for the Los Angeles Clippers game, as reported by SunsZoo.com.
