The Connecticut men's basketball team won its third national title Monday, taking advantage of one of the worst shooting nights in NCAA Tournament title game history by the Butler Bulldogs.
The Huskies won their 11th straight postseason game by holding the Bulldogs to 18.8 percent shooting in the 53-41 victory.
Butler, falling in the championship game for the second straight year, was 12-of-64 from the floor and 9-of-33 from 3-point range.
