No More Excuses For Met’s Mike Pelfrey

No More Excuses For Met’s Mike Pelfrey

As New York Met’s starting pitcher Mike Pelfrey struggled through spring training, we heard the usual excuse…”Just working on some thing” or “Just getting my work in.” The teams ace by default finished the spring with a line that looks like 1-2, 5.63 ERA.

Pelfrey has now made two starts in the regular season and his numbers are even worse. After being pounded by the Philadelphia Phillies, Pelfrey is 0-1 with a 15.63 ERA in two games. In 6.1 innings this season, the right-hander has given up 12 hits and 11 earned runs (12 total).
