Throughout Andy Reid’s 12 years as the head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles, the team has always had a weakness at one position, and that’s outside linebacker. The middle linebacker is often a productive player, like Jeremiah Trotter or Stewart Bradley.
But either one or both of the starters at outside linebacker has usually been a liability on defense. Remember Nate Wayne? Chris Gocong? Dhani Jones? Matt McCoy?
