When the Tampa Bay Buccaneers drafted wide receiver Mike Williams in the third round of the 2010 NFL Draft, no one expected him to produce the way he did. Not the way he did.
Not this soon. Williams was outstanding in his rookie campaign, grabbing 65 passes for 964 yards and team record 11 touchdowns all the while gaining respect from his team mates and peers, a performance good enough for runner up in the offensive rookie of the year voting. Additionally, Williams was impressive enough that his peers & fans voted as the 83rd best player in the NFL

He was actually drafted in the fourth round. Whether or not this makes his success more impressive, I don't know. I think everyone understood his talent level was worthy of a first-second round pick; it was mostly missing a year and a half of football, character questions, etc.
