NFL's Future is breaking down all 32 teams drafts in 32 days, today we will analyze the Oakland Raiders:
The Oakland Raiders needed to come out of the 2011 NFL Draft with offensive linemen, help at corner, and depth at defensive tackle.
Oakland was without a first round pick due to still paying on the Richard Seymour trade. So they had to make the most of their picks.
As for the picks, I liked most of them and think they drafted players that fit needs and found good value across the board. On the other hand, I didn’t like Oakland parting with a 2012 second round pick after they already lost a 2012 fourth in the Jason Campbell deal. As you all know I am never a fan of trading future picks as it rarely works out for the team. But I have to remember Al Davis is Al Davis and he had to put his handprint on this draft in some significant way.
