In an article published on ESPN.com by Mike Tanier of Football Outsiders, the Eagles’ trade for wide receiver Terrell Owens was ranked as the second worst NFL trade of the past 25 seasons.
Tanier’s conditions state that for a trade to make his list, it must negatively impact both teams. For example, the Herschel Walker trade from the Dallas Cowboys to the Minnesota Vikings in 1989 was a major reason why the Cowboys became a dynasty, winning three Super Bowls from 1992 to 1995.
