Whenever NASCAR comes to a road course, especially Watkins Glen, the debate on whether the Sprint Cup Series should race in the rain or not is always brought up. Sunday's action at the track was hampered by rain right after opening ceremonies, and never let up from there.
The race was moved to Monday morning at 10 a.m. because of the rain, and the debate continues as to whether the Cup Series running in the rain is a good choice, or a bad choice.
