Put It In The Books, Izzy Notches 300th Career Save

His career has has now come full circle. He came back to finish out his career with the Mets and somehow eneded up saving games. At the beginning of the season I can’t imagine Jason Isringhausen thought that he would be saving games for the Mets, especially when he did not even make the opening day roster.

The elder statesman of the bullpen, Izzy has taken over the closers role in the absence of Krod. He has now joined the 300 save club along with it’s 23 members. Their are two other pitchers to reach their 300th career save as a member of the Mets.
