Are the St. Louis Rams poised for a playoff run in 2011?

Every year in the NFL, there is approximately a 50% attrition rate among playoff teams from year to year. Are the St. Louis Rams poised to make a return to the playoffs in 2010? I believe so. The Rams were one game away from reaching the playoffs last season, and with some key additions, I believe they have to be considered the favorite to win the NFC West title in 2011.

The quarterback play of Sam Bradford will continue to improve this season, and the addition of Josh McDaniels as offensive coordinator will help him to develop even further. In three preseason games this season, Bradford has completed 24 of 43 passes for 278 yards, four touchdowns and two interceptions. Bradford’s game last week against the Kansas City Chiefs was his best performance of the preseason to date. He completed eight of eight for 76 yards and two scores to start the game.
