When it comes to professional athletes, it’s safe to say running back Fred Taylor is one of the classiest players the NFL has ever seen. On Friday, the 13-year veteran will retire as a member of the team that drafted him back in 1998–the Jacksonville Jaguars.
According to Tanya Ganguli of The Florida Times-Union, the Jaguars will sign Taylor on Friday so he can retire as a member of the team he spent the first 11 years of his career with. Not only is he the team’s all-time leading rusher with 11,271 yards, but Taylor ranks third all time for the Jaguars with 286 catches for 2,361 yards.
