Records are made to be broken.
Surely, you have all heard that saying before. In many cases, it is true, but with a few obvious exceptions.
At least we think.
Sure, nobody thinks that anyone will break Cal Ripken Jr.’s record MLB consecutive games played streak of 2,632. Nobody believes that any player will score more than 100 points in an NBA game like Wilt Chamberlain once did. No true hockey fan feels as if any player will break Wayne Gretzky’s total points record of 2,857 in their lifetime.
