The NFL’s oldest rivalry gets underway on Sunday with the Green Bay Packers (2-0) taking on the Chicago Bears (1-1) in a NFC North matchup. The Chicago Bears hold the advantage in this longtime rivalry, 91-83-6. Green Bay has won four of the last six regular season contests and defeated the Bears in Chicago last January in the NFC Championship Game 21-14 to earn a trip to the Super Bowl.

The Packers offense is clicking on all cylinders, ranked 8th in passing and 11th in rushing, scoring 72 points in two games. The problem is for the Packers, passing defense. The Packers have allowed exactly 400 yards per game in the first two games of the 2011 season.

Chicago on the other hand has struggled offensively, ranking 27th in running the ball and their defense is in the bottom third of the league. Just as in 2010, the offensive line continues to be a problem for the Bears, with Jay Cutler already having been sacked 11 times in 2 games, that’s a current pace for 88 sacks on the season.
