Niall Quinn has announced that he will be resign as Sunderland Chairman after five years at the helm. The news was reported and published in The Express.

Quinn will be replaced by Ellis Short (Sunderland Owner) who will run the day to day affairs of the club. Quinn will be named Head Of International Development.

Quinn denied any involvement by Short in the change. Quinn went as fas as to say that he supports such change.

It is hoped that such change is for the good of Sunderland.
