LSU expanded on their lead in the Examiner.com College Football Power Rankings despite Oklahoma making a statement win in the Red River Rivalry against Texas. The Tigers received seven first-place votes in this week's poll, but Oklahoma did move back in to second place, jumping Alabama on the strength of two first-place votes.

Alabama drops a spot to number three while Wisconsin remained at four in their bye week and received one first-place vote. Stanford jumped Boise State to move in to fifth place despite Kellen Moore putting together a strong first half performance on the road at Fresno State. Our voters thought Andrew Luck and the Cardinal's performance against Colorado was more notable.
