Why Calvin?

It’s circulated fast from Wednesday’s media day that NC State’s CJ Leslie will be recognized by a new name this basketball season. Not only is he going through a coaching change, now he might have to undergo an identity crisis.

CJ Leslie will now be know as, Calvin Leslie.

When the Wolfpack held their basketball media day to prepare for the upcoming season, new NCSU head coach Mark Gottfried was openly and readily calling CJ, Calvin. A change that seems comical to me because I don’t picture him as a Calvin. But underneath it all, the new name is more than just a formality. It’s a lesson.
