The Philadelphia Phillies have re-signed veteran backup catcher Brian Schneider to a one-year deal.
Schneider, 34, took a major pay cut. He made $1.5 million last season and is expected to make $800,000 this season, with an extra $200,000 possible through incentives for games played.
