Atlanta Falcons head coach Mike Smith has reportedly been rushed to the hospital with chest pains after the team’s game this afternoon against the Carolina Panthers. AJC.com is reporting that Mike Smith was rushed to the hospital this evening prior to the team boarding their aircraft to return home to Atlanta.

The Atlanta Falcons organization has issued a statement regarding this matter- “Following the Falcons versus Carolina game today, head coach Mike Smith was transported to the hospital in Charlotte for a non-emergency matter. Coach Smith is resting comfortably. His tests have reaffirmed his health and he’s expected to be in Atlanta on Monday.”
