Memphis PA announcer still thinks John Calipari is the head coach at Memphis

On Sunday night the Memphis Tigers played host to undefeated Murray State. The story from this game was not the final score, which Murray State won; it was all about what the Public Address announcer said before the game.

During the pre game when the announcer was announcing the starting line ups he introduced John Calipari as the Tigers head coach. Problem is John Calipari is now coaching at Kentucky. Calipari left Memphis for Kentucky a couple of years ago. He got the Tigers to the national title game before they lost to Kansas.

Memphis’ current head coach is Josh Pastner, who is in his early 30s.

Check out the video below of the PA announcer introducing the starting line ups. According to those in attendance the crowd was booing.
