The San Francisco Giants have signed two-time Cy Young winner Tim Lincecum to a two-year deal worth $40.5 million, according to a confirmed report on hardballtalk.com.
Lincecum's deal avoids a long-term contract, which he did not want, and covers his remaining arbitration seasons. He will be eligible to test the free agency market after the 2013 season.
