New England Patriots Gronkowski suffered high ankle sprain

A report has surfaced this morning that New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski is suffering from a high ankle sprain. This report is from a fairly reliable source, his father. In an interview with WIVP.com, Gordie Gronkowski admitted that his son suffered a high ankle sprain during the AFC Championship game.

The elder Gronkowski tells the television station that he fully expects his son to be able to play in the Super Bowl next week. It had been reported earlier this week that Gronkowski had suffered ligament damage but there was no confirmation from the usually tight lipped Patriots organization.
