Penn State Class of 2012 Review: Running backs

Hyped by on February 9, 2012 Website: nittanylionsden.com

A few days ago we brought you a review of the quarterback position from the class of 2012. Today we have the running backs.

Penn State’s running back recruitment did not go as planned. After there was no mutual interest from many of the in-state running backs, such as Rushel Shell, the Nittany Lions focused most of their attention on William Mahone (Austintown, OH). However, after his recruiting trip did not go according to plan, he dropped Penn State from consideration and the Nittany Lions had to start over again. They targeted two committed players: Bri’Onte Dunn (Ohio State) and Akeel Lynch (Boston College).
