The Cleveland Browns have locked up one of their key free agents on defense, getting a deal done with LB D’Qwell Jackson. This signing is great news for Browns fans as the team will now retain the club’s leading tackler heading into 2012 and beyond.
Jackson recorded an astounding 158 total tackles last season for Cleveland, adding 3.5 sacks, one forced fumble and one interception. Jackson has struggled with injury issues since the 2009 NFL regular season but rebounded this season with a spectacular showing. Jackson posted similar numbers in 2011 as to his last full regular season, 2008, when he posted 154 total tackles.
