As the dust settles on the first flurry of free agency and the chaos of last week subsides, an interesting report surfaced over the weekend. According to Dan Pompei of the National Football Post website, QB Matt Flynn might not be the starter for the Seattle Seahawks heading into next season and Pompei writes that sources tell him that the Seahawks are still interested in looking at quarterbacks in the upcoming draft.
Pompei reports that his Seahawks sources have told him that he might not beat out QB Tarvaris Jackson for the starting position next season. He points out that Seattle general manager John Schneider was a part of the Packers front office which drafted Flynn in Green Bay. The fact that the Seahawks dont think at this point he can beat out Jackson is starting to make the Miami Dolphins decision to pass on Flynn more understandable.
