After undergoing surgery to stabilize a vertebra in his back as a result of a violent collision in a December regular season game against the Seattle Seahawks, Chicago Bears WR Johnny Knox is hoping to return to the field in 2012. On Monday, it was reported that Knox will likely start the season on the Physically Unable to Perform list for the Bears.
The Chicago Bears have need help at the wide receiver position for several seasons and finally made a move in order to acquire a legitimate number one receiver. Chicago reunited QB Jay Cutler with one of his favorite targets, WR Brandon Marshall. The duo played together with the Denver Broncos. Marshall was acquired via trade with the Miami Dolphins at the very start of the 2012 free agency period last week. The addition of Marshall to the Bears offense will boost Knox’s on field production.
