The 2012 NFL Draft has already presented fans with a trade of epic proportions, with the St. Louis Rams trading down from the No. 2 overall pick with the Washington Redskins for their No. 6 overall pick and second round pick, as well as a pair of future first rounders. It is a well known fact that the Redskins moved up to select Baylor quarterback Robert Griffin III, unless the Indianapolis Colts shock the world and take Griffin III at No. 1, leaving Washington with an excellent consolation prize of Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck.
While the Rams hauled in quite a score of draft picks this year and in the future, they are now realizing that the players they want may very well be off the draft board by the time they hear Roger Goodell officially put them on the clock.
