The Denver Broncos have had a monumental offseason, having signed Peyton Manning and traded Tim Tebow while demonstrating that they are all in to win a Super Bowl. Vice President of Football Operations John Elway was never truly sold on Tebow, and who can blame him? Tebow is far more suited for the part time role that he is expected to fill with the New York Jets, while Manning is a first ballot Hall of Fame quarterback who feels as if he still has something left to prove.
But while there was talk initially that whatever team signed Manning would also be persuaded to bring along his former teammates with the Indianapolis Colts, that has not happened.
Wide receiver Reggie Wayne surprisingly re-signed with the Colts before finding out where Manning was headed, unless he got wind that it was going to be Denver and simply opted to remain with the only team he has known throughout his illustrious NFL career, although it is still quite a head scratcher.
