Despite loss, Florida Stingrays will advance to playoffs

Hyped by on April 8, 2012 Website:

Despite dropping their second consecutive game, the Florida Stingrays will reach the playoffs this season. Florida dropped a contest to the South Florida Storm last weekend 36-10 and lost a close contest last night 20-17 to the Pompano Beach Yellowtails. Due to the fact that two teams have dropped out of the Southern Amateur Football Association league, officials for the SAFA have decided to include all of the remaining eight teams in a playoff format.

The remaining teams will be seeded in positions 1 through 8. The undefeated South Florida Storm hold the number one seed and can lock up home field advantage through the playoffs with one more win. Due to the fact that contests with the two teams which have dropped out of the league remain, any forfeited victories will not count towards playoff seeding. Florida currently holds the number three seed in the playoff format.
