During spring training and coming into the season, the New York Yankees and GM Brian Cashman continued to say it’s a luxury to have ‘too much’ pitching. Sure, that may be the case, but if that pitching is not performing well, it really doesn’t matter how many potential starters you have.

Entering today (Tuesday), the Yankees starting pitchers have not performed to expectations. The only starter with an ERA under 4.00 is newcomer Hiroki Kuroda.
