Stars Football Laegue coming to Southwest Florida

Hyped by on April 24, 2012 Website: www.thepigskinreport.com

As the season winds down for the Florida Stingrays, Southwest Florida residents shouldn’t fret about not being able to watch local football, the Florida Swamp Dogs are coming to town. The Swamp Dogs are a member of the Stars Football League (SFL). According to a press release issued by General Manager Jay Lawrence, the team will play a four game schedule starting in early summer somewhere in Southwest Florida.

The SFL is the brainchild of former professional sports agent and founder of Sports Stars International Peter J. Huthwaite. Mr. Huthwaite has represented over 600 professional athletes over the course of several decades and has created the SFL in order to give athletes extended exposure and experience playing full squad, NFL rules professional football. Last season, two SFL players found their way on to NFL rosters.
