Evan Turner, a second year player for the Philadelphia 76ers, made some interesting comments this week about a possible first-round matchup with the Chicago Bulls.
It means we’re dodging the tougher team. That’s what I think. I think we’ll be able to compete well against Chicago, and have an opportunity to win the series.
With one regular season game remaining it looks like Turner will get his wish. The 76ers are tied with the Knicks but New York holds the tiebreaker. What that means is that Philadelphia would have to beat Detroit and Charlotte would have to beat the Knicks for the 76ers to avoid the Bulls.
With Charlotte losing 22 straight games, I think it is safe to assume the Knicks will win Thursday night.
