If anybody bet on the Dallas Cowboys trading up to draft LSU cornerback Morris Claiborne No. 6 overall, they’re very rich today. Many expected the Cowboys to make some sort of move in the first round, but the most daring was sliding up from No. 14 to No. 10 to take Mississippi State defensive tackle Fletcher Cox. However, Jerry Jones surprised everyone by trading up eight spots to take Claiborne, the second player on Dallas’ draft board behind Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck.
