Another year, another weekend of filtering through angry tweets and knee-jerk reactions from Texans fans.
The way that I’ve noticed the past few years is that there are two types of fan reactions in this base’ either they’re going to hate the picks if it isn’t a skill position, or they’re going to go out of their way to say they trust the Texans front office to make the right decisions. I’ve been guilty of this as well, but the one thing that I’ve taught myself is to not pass judgment before they play a single snap in an NFL game (Hello, JJ Wat!).
With that said, I’m pretty pleased with this season’s draft class at the moment. Most I had heard of, while a couple of others I hadn’t. With a thousand or so prospects to filter through, that’s going to happen at times and unlike some dude’s over at Bleacher Report, I don’t claim to know everything. I just do this for fun. So I’m going to go over each guy one by one here and give my early reactions to them. I don’t do draft grades, so you’ll get none of that from me. But I’ll tell you what I’m thinking about the player and how they’ll fit in Houston next year and beyond.
