The Bulls protected their home court by beating the 76ers, 103-91. However everything that happened in the game was overshadowed by what happened in the closing minutes.
With just over a minute left in the game, Derrick Rose drove to the basket but his knee buckled. He immediately went down and after a few minutes was helped to the locker room. He was reported after the game that he suffered an ACL tear and is done for the season.
With that injury the 76ers were given a second life.
