Despite persistent trade rumors during this weekend, QB Colt McCoy participated in voluntary workouts with the Cleveland Browns on Monday. Undeterred by the Browns selection of QB Brandon Weeden, McCoy showed up to camp despite not knowing what the future holds for him.
It is believed that the Browns selected Weeden in order to become the teams starter and given his age, soon to be 29, he is not really a prospect that you place on the bench for a few seasons in order to groom him. As soon as the Browns selected Weeden, rumors began to surface that the Browns were shopping McCoy. The Houston Chronicle reported that the Browns had been engaged in talks with the Houston Texans. Rumors suggested that the Browns ould ship McCoy to Houston in exchange for WR Jacoby Jones
