Former Chargers LB suggests Seau might have suffered 1000 concussions

Former San Diego Chargers LB Gary Plummer stated yesterday that he believes that LB Junior Seau might have suffered over 1,000 concussions during the span of his 20-year career. As the NFL works towards trying to make a violent game, safer, this suggestion is very troubling.

Plummer, played linebacker professionally for 15 seasons, joining the Chargers from 1986 until 1993 and finished his NFL career with the San Francisco 49ers from 1994 through 1997. Plummer was close friends with Seau and told the mercurynews.com that he was doing “terrible” after learning of Seau’s tragic death.
