Washington Nationals’ RF Jayson Werth breaks left wrist against Phillies

Washington Nationals' right fielder Jayson Werth broke his left wrist diving for a ball in the ninth inning against the Philadelphia Phillies, the team confirmed.

Werth landed awkwardly while attempting to catch a line drive hit by Juan Pierre. The ball rolled a few feet away from him, causing Pierre to make it to second.
