The Miami Dolphins announced on Sunday that the team has reached an agreement with LB Cameron Wake. The Dolphins sack leader in 2011 agreed to a 4-year, $49 million dollar deal. Reportedly, $20 million is guaranteed. Wake was going to earn $615,000 for the 2012 season before his contract was extended. The defender skipped a voluntary workout last month and had threatened a protracted holdout prior to reaching a new deal.
Wake, 30, has played for the Miami Dolphins for three seasons after playing in the Canadian Football League. During his tenure with the Dolphins, Wake has recorded 122 tackles, 28 sacks and four forced fumbles.
