Brady Quinn third-string with the Chiefs?

Brady Quinn third-string with the Chiefs?

Hyped by on June 3, 2012 Website: www.thepigskinreport.com

The Kansas City Chiefs concluded their OTA last week as second-year QB Ricky Stanzi ran the second-string offense for the Chiefs. The 6′ 4″ Iowa product supplanted veteran QB Brady Quinn as the team’s second-string quarterback. Prior to this week, Quinn had been handling all of the team’s second-string duties behind Matt Cassel.

According to the Chiefs official website, Stanzi was impressive in limited action. This move is likely not a significant issue at this point in the season and the real battle for the back up duties will begin with the start of training camp. However, Quinn has not appeared in a regular season game since the conclusion of the 2009 season, his last with the Cleveland Browns. Quinn sat on the Denver Broncos roster for two season but never appeared in any of the team’s regular seasons games.
