Jacksonville Jaguars RB Maurice Jones-Drew is unhappy with his current status with the team and wants a new contract. That isn’t going to be happening anytime soon however according to a spokesman from the Jaguars. Jacksonville is set to start a mandatory mini-camp this week and it’s possible that the 2011 rushing yardage leader might skip the workout.
Jaguars general manager Gene Smith admitted to the media that the back in unhappy with his current status but the club expects him to honor his contract and report to the team. “He has expressed that he would like to renegotiate and we have express, again, that we feel he has a contract with two years left and we fully expect him to fulfill those obligations.
