When Yankees closer Mariano Rivera suffered a torn ACL while shagging fly balls in the outfield in a freak May accident, many speculated that Rivera's career might be over.
It got worse when a blood clot developed in Rivera's injured knee, delaying surgery until June 12th.
But Rivera has progressed extremely quickly in his rehab, and New York Post's Joel Sherman reported that Rivera could return late in the 2012 season.
