The fallout from the original Jerry Sandusky sex abuse scandal has been neither amusing nor fulfilling. If you’ve noticed, I’ve restricted from commenting at all on what is happening on a daily basis at Penn State, because this is nothing but a criminal act that has engulfed sports, news, and innocent lives.
Not my place to interject, because I’m not an attorney, a law enforcement officer, paralegal, politician, or anything of the above.
But now, NCAA president Mark Emmert is making it my place, and the sports world’s epicenter, to be once again entangled by an awful act and carelessness from a handful of individuals. In other words, it’s back to being a sports story with his recent, gargantuan sized punishment for Penn State football.
Look it up anywhere — have you seen the laundry list of things that the NCAA, Big Ten, and Emmert unleashed on Happy Valley? Sheesh..
