MLB Rumors: Detroit Tigers Bring Back Jim Leyland For 2013 MLB Season

The Detroit Tigers may have come up short again in the 2012 World Series against the San Francisco Giants, but they are not looking for a scapegoat to assume the blame for the disappointing four game sweep. If they are, it is not manager Jim Leyland, who it was just announced would return to the Tigers for the 2013 MLB season.

Next year will be Leyland’s eighth season managing Detroit. It is also being reported that his coaching staff have all been invited to return next year as well, including Gene Lamont, who was chastised for sending Prince Fielder home with no outs in the Tigers’ Game 2 loss against the Giants.
