Friday night was one of the most anticipated nights of the year to college basketball fans around the country because of its meaning. It was midnight madness. There were many respected programs around the nation at their campuses celebrating the long awaited beginning to the season. Seton Hall was very excited for this event, as it was the first time since the 2007 season the program held this event. The Pirates are young this year, but are also an ambitious and talented crew. Now it is time to take a look at this year’s pirates.
Let’s face it, last year was the pirates best chance in a while to play in March, but simply they were too inconsistent which has been a trait for the Pirates for a couple of seasons now. Last year the Pirates were a talented squad. Herb Pope was a big very physical force down low and he was a double-double machine. Another key member was Jordan Theodore, who was the all around team leader and was especially great at bringing the Pirates through in big, clutch situations. Both Pope and Theodore were both seniors meanning this year, the Pirates will be without their top two scorers and leading rebounder from last season. So where will this put the pirates this year?
