In one of the more puzzling moves this offseason, the New York Jets acquired QB Tim Tebow from the Denver Broncos. Tebow’s role with the Jets this season has been undecided, but why not start Tebow now with the Jets offense struggling and sitting with a record of 3-6 in the AFC East. Tebow critics will claim that he is not a starting caliber quarterback in the NFL, but with the current play of QB Mark Sanchez, the same could be said of him.
After the Jets 28-7 loss to the Seattle Seahawks, head coach Rex Ryan told reporters that Mark Sanchez will be the Jets starting quarterback going forward and that he gives the team the best chance to win. Really? Is Rex watching the games? Sanchez was 9-22 for 124 yards and two turnovers. The Jets did not score any offensive points in Seattle.
