The NFL Pro-Bowl is still scheduled to take place after this season the week before the Super Bowl, unless Roger Goodell has anything to do with cancelling the All-Star game that features absolutely no defense and points galore. One special thing about selecting Pro-Bowl players is that it is not strictly up to the fans, so these players are not just the most popular. They are also voted in by players and coaches, meaning there is a bit more to the process than in the other three major professional sports leagues.
As of this minute, Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning is the NFL leading vote getter from either the AFC or NFC players throughout the league. Voting will continue for a little over a month and end on December 17, but Manning and New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady are the overall top two players in terms of fan voting. Only one can start the game, although neither are hoping to be in Hawaii, as the teams who go to the Super Bowl the following week will not have their players available for this game.
